Spanbound Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026 · Applies to the public website and the local-first Academy pilot.
1. The Short Version
The Academy pilot does not have accounts, a classroom server, a payment flow, or a remote database. Study progress and settings are stored in the browser on the device. The public website has optional analytics consent, and it is off unless a visitor opts in.
- No student names, email addresses, passwords, or classroom codes are requested by Academy.
- No student records are sent to an API or stored in a remote database in this phase.
- No payment or billing information is collected while checkout is disabled.
- No third-party advertising pixels or behavioural profiles are used on Academy.
2. What Academy Stores on Your Device
The Academy build saves local progress so a tester can return to the app on the same browser origin:
- Best study score, points, and local study history.
- Selected difficulty, study material, audio preference, and other settings.
- Local play state used by the start screen and session report.
These values use browser local storage under the existing sticky-game-two- keys. Clearing site data removes them. They are not synced to another device.
3. Website Analytics Consent
This website can record anonymous interaction events for product improvement, but only after a visitor explicitly accepts analytics. Declining leaves only the consent preference in local storage. The current analytics dispatcher does not transmit student records, names, email addresses, or classroom codes.
Review storage details4. No Payments in This Phase
Pricing, checkout, Supporter Passes, educator licenses, and school purchase orders are disabled during first-user testing. This website does not collect billing details, card numbers, or tax information. If paid services return later, this policy will be updated before any payment flow is enabled.
