# Spanbound

> Spanbound is a non-violent bridge-building universe. Spanbound Arcade is the original precision crossing game across 26 realms. Spanbound Academy is a study-first pilot: every span asks a question, and a correct answer builds the bridge.

## Current Phase

- The Academy is in first-user testing as a local-first Vite/PWA build.
- There are no student accounts, classroom room codes, teacher dashboards, payments, ads, leaderboards, or API writes in this phase.
- Academy progress, settings, difficulty, and study material stay in browser local storage on the device.
- Arcade remains the unchanged reference game.
- The public website describes the project and has no pricing or checkout routes.

## Products

1. **Spanbound Academy**: A ten-problem study run using the crossing engine. Pick a tier and a study material, answer questions in a fixed tray below the stage, and finish with an in-stage report.
2. **Spanbound Arcade**: The unchanged hold-and-release bridge game with the 26-realm campaign, Void Maw, Blitz, and Zen modes. Local scores and offline PWA support.

## Academy Study Loop

- Five tiers: Easy (1:00 session, 15s question), Normal (0:45, 10s), Hard (0:35, 8s), Extreme (0:25, 6s), and God (0:18, 4s).
- Six study materials: Mixed, Math, Angles, Shapes, Fractions, and Patterns.
- The question sits at the top of the stage; four answer choices sit in a fixed tray below the gaps.
- A correct answer grows the bridge to the next marker.
- The first miss reveals the correct answer and costs session time.
- Two consecutive misses reset the run to Problem 1.
- After ten problems, the session report appears inside the stage with score, accuracy, and time left.
