Build the span.
Study the universe.
Spanbound Academy turns the bridge-crossing reflex game into a study session. A question sits at the top of the stage; the answer choices sit below the gap. Choose correctly and the bridge grows. Ten problems later, the run is scored.
Study-only surface
Every span asks a question. There are no story, shop, or side-mode entry points in the Academy build.
Local-first by design
No accounts, classrooms, payments, ads, or leaderboard sync in this phase. Progress stays in the browser.
Arcade stays intact
The original precision crossing game remains the unchanged reference build, with its 26-realm world.

What is live right now
The website and the Academy describe the same first-user testing phase: small, local, and honest about what is not connected yet.
A ten-problem study run
Pick a tier and a study material before starting. Answer each question to build the bridge. The first miss reveals the correct answer and costs time; two consecutive misses reset the run to Problem 1.
- ✓Question banner above the stage; answer tray below the islands
- ✓Five session tiers and six study materials
- ✓In-stage session report with score, accuracy, and time left
- ✓Progress and settings stored locally on the device
The precision crossing game
Spanbound Arcade stays as it was: hold to grow the bridge, release to drop it, and cross 26 realms. Academy reuses that engine but replaces the free crossing loop with study questions.
- ✓Original hold-and-release bridge timing
- ✓Story, Void Maw, Blitz, and Zen modes remain in the Arcade build
- ✓Offline-capable PWA with local high scores
- ✓No paid tiers, checkout, or account requirement on this site
What is deliberately not here yet
The first-user testing phase keeps the surface small. These features are planned only after the study loop has been tested with real users.
No payments or checkout
Pricing, Supporter Passes, educator licenses, and checkout routes are disabled. Nothing on this site can take a payment.
No accounts or classrooms
There are no student accounts, room codes, teacher dashboards, rosters, or live class telemetry in the pilot.
No backend or leaderboard
The Academy build does not call an API, write to a database, submit scores, or require an account. It is a static Vite/PWA build for now.
